HEARHERE: Borrowed Time
Cello Octet Amsterdam performs music for eight cellos and voice around the question of how we can become good ancestors for future generations.
23 April 2027
Cello Octet Amsterdam performs music for eight cellos and voice around the question of how we can become good ancestors for future generations.
Practical information
What can you expect?
Live cellos enter into dialogue with recorded voices from past, present and future. Seven composer-vocalists, including Shishani, Arooj Aftab and Loraine James, wrote music from the perspective of unborn generations. An afterparty follows at Café Caat.
Who will enjoy it?
For cello enthusiasts, contemporary-music listeners, visitors interested in climate and future generations, and audiences aged 18 and over.
Is it worth attending?
Yes, for anyone seeking a conceptually strong concert with a distinctive sound. Eight cellos, multiple voices, a drink and afterparty make €22 reasonable.
Practical tips
- All HEARHERE events are 18+.
- Take your drink into the Aalmarktzaal.
- Stay for the afterparty at Café Caat.
- Choose the youth ticket when under 30.
