In 2026 Leiden marks 400 years since Jan Steen’s birth. Museum De Lakenhal brings together major paintings and rarely seen loans to show how his household and social world shaped his art.
The exhibition can be busy; Tuesday to Thursday are generally quieter. A regular €16 museum ticket includes access to the entire museum.
